Independent funeral business Hankinson & Molyneux Funeral Directors has secured membership of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), with inspectors recognising standards that exceeded those typically expected nationally.
The accreditation follows a detailed assessment of the Warrington-based firm's business practices, facilities, procedures and professional standards. The NAFD is the UK's leading professional body for funeral directors, with membership requiring businesses to demonstrate high levels of professionalism, transparency and care.
The milestone comes as Hankinson & Molyneux and its sister brand, Warrington Direct Cremation, also join Warrington Chamber Plus, strengthening the firm's links with the local business community.
The independent, family-run business is led by Greg Hankinson and Anthony Molyneux, who between them have almost 80 years of experience in the funeral profession. Both are fully qualified funeral directors and embalmers, while Hankinson is also an experienced funeral celebrant, having conducted thousands of services across Warrington and the surrounding area.
Alongside traditional funeral services, the business operates Warrington Direct Cremation, offering a simple and affordable alternative for families seeking a more straightforward farewell while maintaining the same professional standards.
Commenting on the accreditation, Greg and Anthony said: "Achieving NAFD membership is a significant milestone for our business because it independently recognises the standards we work to every day. We have always believed that every family deserves the highest levels of care, professionalism and transparency, and this accreditation reinforces that commitment.
"Joining Warrington Chamber Plus is another exciting step for us. As a proudly independent business, we are looking forward to building stronger relationships with fellow members, supporting local initiatives and continuing to invest in the community we have proudly served for many years."
